Oasis International School has chosen Positive Discipline as a school discipline policy since 2015/2016 and has been part of the Positive Discipline Association Lab School network since 2018.
For the Oasis International School to implement Positive Discipline in general, teachers and staff receive Positive Discipline training. As part of the Classroom Exchange Time (TEC - Weekly Classroom Meeting), weekly activities are given to teach important social and emotional skills to our learners. Regular practice of TEC sessions allows them to learn how to solve real-life problems in their classroom.
Parents are integrated into the process through regular and continuous training. A group of more than 40 teachers, parents and administrators became Certified Positive Discipline Educators following a training course delivered at the school by Dr. Jane Nelsen, the founder of the Positive Discipline Association and the author of many books.
